We have created a unique, eco-zen environment for the solo digital nomad who prefers to stay in a ‘work-relax’ style apartment while enjoying a visit to Lake Atitlan. Our newly constructed apartments were created with the solo traveler in mind and appointed with modern furnishings.
The apartment has a kitchen with all of the essentials to cook your own meals. The dual-burner gas cooking stove is inset into the custom built stainless steel kitchen cabinetry. The high-pressured water is safe to drink from every tap. Every drop of water is filtered, then treated with both UV light and ozone through out the entire space. We provide you with ON-DEMAND gas-heated, safe-to-drink hot water at every faucet and in the shower.
Natural light flows in the large windows. We have chosen a specialty glass and security bars to enhance your privacy and peace of mind. Exterior security cameras, secured windows, exterior flood lights, a lap-top sized security safe and keyless entry provide you with an added level of security and safety that every traveler can appreciate.
Smoke/carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher provided in the apartment.
Buddha Haus has grid-tied solar panels that feed back all unused solar-generated energy back in to the San Pedro grid. We have a propane generator for prolonged electrical outages, however internet access can not be guaranteed during power outages.
Guides of Wisdom Therapy Center is located within the Buddha Haus and we appreciate guests who are seeking a quiet, zen vibe and prefer to just chill. Crystal and copal resin grids were placed throughout the Buddha Haus using local crystals from the San Pedro volcano.
We are sensitive to our guests with allergies, so smoking and animals are never allowed in the apartment.
The Buddha Haus is conveniently located next to the Solar Pools where you can drop off your laundry or enjoy a relaxing hot soak in their thermal pools. Restaurants, grocery, fresh vegetables and the beautiful Lake Atitlán are all just steps away from the Buddha Haus.
